Titanium dioxide is used to build planes due to its ability to retain its shape at very high temperature, why?

This is the second submission of this question. The question was very well answered by another contributor. Quite sincerely, the question is totally unscientific and nonsensical. Titanium dioxide is a white pigment used to make paints, plastics, paper etc white. It is certainly not used in the construction of aircraft. Titanium metal may be used for this purpose, for specialist military use - I do not think in conventional commercial aircraft like Boeing, Airbus etc. I have difficulty to believe that this question could have been asked by a science teacher.
